- Denial | Pop & Modern Art Gallery | NL Galerie | Salzburg
denial DENIAL is a Canadian artist whose work criticizes consumerism and the human condition. Although based in Windsor Ontario, DENIAL spends much of the year touring and exhibiting in Canada and the US, having done solo shows in Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, New York, Toronto and Vancouver. In 2000, he adopted the nickname "DENIAL" to poke fun at advertising, political and media messages that today's society often "denies". Since then he has maintained a worldwide campaign of over 500,000 stickers, posters and murals featuring the alphanumeric characters "D3N! @L". Intended as a conceptual vehicle for marketing absurdism, DENIAL also challenges traditional notions of graffiti and public art through its bold and often satirical stance visual subversions. In 2012, DENIAL launched Free 4 All Walls, the largest public art project of its kind in Southwestern Ontario. The government funded programme, which has enabled artists from around the world to beautify and revitalize public walls in Windsor, has been a huge success in supporting local people and promoting the value of street art in society today. Invited artists who have painted murals include: Nychos (Austria), Bask (USA), Omen (Canada), Ben Frost (Australia), Nosego (USA), Persue (USA), Rime (USA), Above ( USA), Elicser (Canada), High 5 (Canada), Nekoes (USA), Labrona (Canada), Gaia (USA), Kwest (Canada), Spud (Canada), Earthcrusher (Canada), Czr Prz (USA), Chou (Canada), Uber5000 (Canada) and XRAY (Canada) and now at NL Gallery Salzburg. whatshisname About Whatshisname (Sebastian Burdon) He was born in eastern Poland in 1982. Today he lives and works in London, UK. At the age of 7 he has started creating his first digital art with Atari 130 XE. After he moved to London in 2006 and has worked as an assistant to established British artists, he creates creating art with both digital and traditional media. The aim of my art is to express what cannot be expressed in words. I want to encourage the viewer to look at the surroundings and question them in a mocking, unorthodox way. An alias "Whatshisname" is inspired by the fact that I don't remember the names of other artists and the song "Whatshername" by Green Day. - 42 Helden | NL Galerie
Ihre farbenfrohen und außergewöhnlichen Kunstwerke spiegeln dabei ihr Innerstes wieder, getreu dem Motto „Stehe gerade, lache viel, lebe jetzt.“ Exklusiv hier bei uns in der NL-Galerie Jedes Werk ist ein Unikat / Einzelstück sold / verkauft Quick View P WIE PINK - by 42 Helden - unikat - echtes Straßenschild Out of stock reserviert Quick View MONEYMAKER - by 42 Helden - unikat Out of stock Neu - unikat Quick View STEIN UND EISEN- by 42 Helden - unikat - echtes Verkehrsschild Price €1,200.00 Neu - unikat Quick View P°E°A°N°U°T°S - by 42 Helden - unikat - echtes Straßenschild Price €990.00
- David Tollmann | NL Galerie
- Romero Britto | Pop & Modern Art Gallery | NL Galerie | Salzburg
Romero Brito Born in Brazil and raised in Miami, Romero Britto is an international artist who uses vibrant, bold and colorful patterns to reflect his optimistic view of the world around him. Britto has created a unique visual language of hope and happiness that is accessible to all and inspires millions. Self-taught, Britto painted on scraps of paper, cardboard or some other medium before traveling independently to Paris and becoming acquainted with the works of Matisse and Picasso. His appreciation for these masters led him to create an iconic style, which The New York Times described "exuding warmth, optimism, and love". Britto's work has been exhibited in galleries and museums in over 100 countries, including the Salon de la Societe Nationale des Beaux Arts at the Carrousel du Louvre in 2008 and 2010. In 2013, Maria Elena and Carlos Slim invited Domit Romero to be the first living artists to exhibit at MuseoSoumaya. He has created public art installations for the 02 Dome in Berlin, John F. Kennedy Airport in New York, Cirque Du Soleil at Super Bowl XLI and the largest monumental sculpture in the history of London's Hyde Park. Britto served as the Official Artist for the 2010 World Cup, Ambassador at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and was recently invited as Torchbearer for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Britto's pop sensibilities have since drawn on numerous collaborations with international brands such as Audi, Bentley, Coca-Cola, Walt Disney, Evian, Hublot and Mattel to name a few. Romero is an activist for non-profit organizations worldwide and, above all, an artist who believes that "art is too important not to share". Britto has donated time, art, and resources to more than 250 nonprofit organizations. Britto was not a silent activist, but a selected speaker for the arts at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland. In addition, Romero Britto is proud to be a Founding Contributor to the Harvard International Negotiation Program. He is a member of various bodies including Best Buddies International and St Jude's Children's Research Hospital and has recently been appointed to the board of the Prince of Wales' charity, The Prince's Trust. Romero Britto believes in the role of an artist as a vehicle for positive change and is committed to developing and supporting the role that art will continue to play in the world. Rice-Art Work about the artist Rice: After a ten year journey ob on foot or by motorbike, on the roads of all continents, Rice left his suitcases on the French Riviera in 2000. In deep connection with his company, he incorporated the basics of his work problem into his experiences and pursued his own approach. He will use all forms of artistic expression to agglutinate thousands of capsules to talk about consumerism. This phenomenon of the expansion of the world of art to the rejected object of consumer society certainly marks the starting point of his sculptural work. In the face of a globally aestheticized world, she transforms naturally into plastic. In 2012 he opens a chamber with a noir novel "Descent to Paradise" from "The Manufacture of the Book" before returning to his favorite art. Visual artist, it wasn't intentional, it was just another kind of adventure presented to him. The artist's work conveys a gaze full of cynicism and compassion for a world overwhelmed by the triumph of beauty or even morality, becoming a cosmetic behavior. Man wonders, artist challenges, returning the resulting image of a behavior peculiar to our society. Now in the NL Gallery Salzburg. Diederik Diederik van Apple was born in Leiden, Netherlands, in 1985 and grew up there. In his childhood he always visualized the big picture. There was no boundary between fantasy and reality. He was addicted to Walt Disney books and legendary films like The Godfather, Scarface, Pulp Fiction and Boondock Saints. He loved watching the stories, reading them and getting totally involved as if he were part of the play himself. In 2003 he started studying law, but after two years he realized that he could not express his creativity in this study and decided to quit. In 2005 he started as an art representative in an art gallery in Amsterdam. During these years he traveled the world attending exhibitions and art fairs for the art gallery and found his passion. With his experience, artistic insight and passion for art, he started thinking about designing artworks. Combine his imagination with the artistic atmosphere in which he has lived for the last few years. There was no boundary between work and free time and he began to build unlimited possibilities of digital mix media art. After starting out in 2017, he made three series of limited editions that sold out in no time. This was the beginning of Van Apple's artwork and career. He took 6 months and brought out amazing new series of artworks; Mr. Satoshi, Golden Tweety, loved by Daffy and Mickey Who. After his recent releases, he decided to delve deeper into the creative vibe and once flew to Ibiza. The Most Artistic Island on Earth has been a huge hit and new things keep popping up. At the moment, his artworks are very popular among art lovers worldwide and investors are fascinated by his style. Van Apple's art is a combination of digital techniques such as photography and famous properties. The base of the art is aluminum or gold foil, then he adds holograms, colors, glitter, diamonds and other handcrafted items. All artworks are hand finished with multiple coats of epoxy. By adding these layers he can create innovative and unique mix media art with an amazing 3D effect. English: Diederik van Apple was born in 1985 in Leiden, the Netherlands, and grew up there. It started with figurative works to somewhat more pastoral and later more abstract works. Always colorful and certainly not sad. Over the years his style has completely changed and grown, but the experimental and creative aspect continues to play an important role. Nowadays his works have a colorful touch with the big mouths resulting from the saying that Antwerpers drink a big cup. He creates art with a playful sense of humor that contrasts starkly with today's gray, colorless society. His art is creative, playful and very colourful. - F. Nicolas | Pop & Modern Art Gallery | NL Galerie | Salzburg
Francisco Nicolas A concept for my work is the idea of showing the image window. I use figurative elements. Over these figurative elements, I overlay geometric shapes with “abstract” forms and at the same time in another spatial level, as if it were in an inner space and could see the outer space through a window. This comes very close to Magritte's art “Cuadros ventana” (“Windows Pictures”). Other concept, my interest is in mix oposit concepts, like figurative/abstract, classic/contemporary, painting reality/photography/reality. I have been painting since childhood and had a good tutor in Barcelona (Spain) with a gallery that sold me all my work who lived between Barcelona and Paris. In 1997 I stopped painting due to cancer, I started dating again in 2009 and in 2011 I moved to London where I have my studio, with various exhibitions and art fairs in that city. Francisco Nicolá's works are in the following collections: CAAM Murcia - CULTURAL RIOJA. Logroño - REINA SOFíA COLLECTION. Madrid. La Caixa. Barcelona - Autonomous Region of Murcia. Murcia - COLLECTION D'ART L'Avui. Barcelona - Mango Collection. Murcia. GOVERNMENT COLLECTION. Madrid. Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center of New York, Bank of America. And in numerous private collections around the world His work has been exhibited at the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid, the Royal Academy of London, the Arco Madrid, the Pinta Art Fair in London and the London Art Fair in numerous art galleries in London, Madrid, Barcelona and Paris. We don’t have any products to show here right now.
